Why Fitness Training Together with Your Spouse is a Great Idea

Newlyweds typically gain 7 to 10 pounds in the first year of marriage according to a study. Other than sharing a house, a bank account and a last name, splitting a kitchen is not always easy.

"I have consulted and trained many couples over the years. - If what you like to do is very different, try individual private training. For example, one likes to pump weight for muscle building. The other likes toning exercises, kickboxing, yoga or Pilates.

- If cost of two full private training sessions is a problem, negotiate two shorter training sessions such as 30 or 45 minutes. The trainer is mostly like willing to train two private clients back to back.

- If your respective schedules are out of syn, start with private training separately. Then try to work out a common schedule with the trainer so that you can train together.
